About Us
Who are we?
We love all things irresistible.
MoMo & Coco comprise three entities. The first two parts of MoMo & Coco read the dessert menu before the main menu, we eat our meals in anticipation of what we will eat after meals, and we find that one dessert is never enough. We believe that life should be a box of chocolates, sugar and butter, made all the more wonderful if one strolls through life on a pair of heels, the thinner and higher the better. The third part of MoMo & Coco is a squat, cannon-shaped, greedy gourmand – he loves meat, chocolate, long park walks and exercising the hip. Between the three of us, we do our best to strut across Melbourne, and have traversed Western Europe, South-East Asia, China, the UK and the US.
What do we focus on?
The sweet life of irresistibles
In this journal-blog, we document our adventures sampling irresistibles from cafes, specialty sweet boutiques, restaurants and high teas. At the date of inception, we are the only dessert-only, non-recipe, non-industry-affiliated food blog in Australia with this particular niche focus.
Because the last century concentrated on perfecting the main, the last decade has focused on translating entrees into a meal, and the next, we hope will increasingly dedicate itself to desserts, to crafting the most irresistible finale…or starter…or main…
…hmmmmm…irrresistible…
What is our style?
The need for sweet appreciation
Contrary to our background and training in identifying and manipulating loopholes, evaluating and analysing from every viable angle, we will not pursue this path. With respect to irresistibles sampled, we will not excessively complain or criticise when millions around the world do not even have the luxury of food. If we don’t like it, it will simply not feature in this journal-blog. If relevant, the only critique will be in relation to non-food matters, because aside from food, ambience and service is important for a dining experience. Because we won’t rate with stars, numbers, thumbs up or down, we appreciate and enjoy.

We undertake all irresistible adventures at our own costs, at our own volition and with our own stomachs and sugar-overworked-pancreas.
As we do not have any hospitality/culinary training nor do we herald from that background, we do not attest to have any professional opinion. We acknowledge that all experiences detailed in this blog are entirely subjective and representative of our experiences only. We warn that what is one person’s irresistible may be another’s non-irresistible.
If we have described any irresistible incorrectly or inaccurately, please let us know so that we can rectify our sugar-fuelled mistaken memory.
We would lastly, like to extend a profound thank you to all friends and family and others who have accompanied us in our irresistible adventures. This journal-blog would not exist without you.
